Information literacy is important because individuals need to know when information is needed, what resources are available to them, how to research, how to retrieve, evaluate and use information as needed in an efficient sufficient manner. We need to know how to utilize and maximize the use of digital tools in the classroom as well as for personal see in order to keep with today’s digital 21st century world. The resources you provided gives strategies and important information that can improve the quality of your educational and professional life. Knowing when, why, how to retrieve and utilize information is an effective and necessary skill that applies to everyone for every situation.
